This was the first year I was unable to go home for Thanksgiving and I wanted my family to know that I was thinking of them. I got this great message-in-a-cookie cutter set from Williams Sonoma and used them to create these darling treats!
I made sure to have one for each family as well as special notes to show we missed and loved them :)
I added food coloring to a basic sugar cookie recipe to give them all a different yet unified look.
After they cooled off, I used icing pens to decorate :)
I packaged them and mailed them off just in time to get there by Thanksgiving day!
What a wonderful to say, "Hey, I'm thinking of you!"
